Post and comes precast ready to install. The metal U bracket on top that receives the wood column is integrated into the Perma-Column® with rebar reinforcements. As part of the rebar assembly there is a precast hole in the bottom of the Perma-Column® which is used for uplift. Uplift can be achieved through rebar with concrete collar, uplift anchors or column extenders.
